What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a scientifically proven and effective form of physical medicine. Based on the theory of balance, a nationally and state licensed acupuncturist inserts fine needles (no thicker than a strand of hair) into the patient’s specific body regions to actively achieve equilibrium of both the human body and its mind. It successfully attains this by promoting proper blood circulation, reducing inflammations or ‘stressors’ of the body, and assists in realigning the body to its `natural, healthy structure’.

Acupuncture has been utilized for many years with great results and has been recently recommended by the American College of Physicians to be used an initial form of treatment to combat low back pain. It is very safe by employing the body’s own natural healing chemicals to combat injuries rather than using harmful substances such as opioids, which can have adverse, deadly side effects. Acupuncture is a natural safe treatment that can be used on most individuals. Contact our office to learn how we can help you!
