Nucleoplasty in Closter | Edward H. Cohen, DC

Nucleoplasty Procedure Closter

What is Nucleoplasty?

Nucleosplasty therapy is a treatment option for pain coming from damaged spinal discs.  The treatment involves causing pressure within the disc in order to decrease the wall size and cause the disc to bulge less thus reducing pain.

How is the Procedure Performed?

Dr. Cohen will use a special probe that is inserted into the spinal disc.  He will then remove a small amount of disc tissue from the nucleus and apply a controlled amount of heat to the disc.  The entire procedure is minimally invasive and typically takes less than 60 minutes.

Should You Consider Nucleoplasty?

If you have not responded to more conservative therapies, then the nucleoplasty procedure may be a viable option for you.  Dr. Cohen will be happy to review your existing MRI or provide you with a full evaluation in order to determine if you are a candidate for this procedure.  Our clinic is located in Bergen County New Jersey.
